Thursday morning brief

Good morning Western Isles this is your morning brief

On this Thursday morning, we are seeing another chilly morning. Frost and ice. Temps are down to close to or just below freezing. Down to 3.4C at Stornoway. Winds under 10 mph.

Across the highlands and islands on Wednesday Stornoway was the sunniest with 8.0 hours of sunshine and Harris Quidnish was the wettest with 8.0mm of rainfall.

Today – We are going to see sunshine and cloud today. Temps will rise after a frosty and icy start. It should be dry for most but the odd shower later cannot be ruled out. Some decent and prolonged sunshine. Sunshine will become hazier later as cloud increases. Winds under 20 mph.

Friday – Brisk winds throughout the day. Sunshine and scattered showers. Some decent and prolonged sunshine. Feeling cool with a North West wind gusting 30 to 40 mph.

Saturday – Sunshine and cloud. Breezy and chilly at times again.

Sunday – Sunshine and cloud. Breezy with light winds.

Have a great day.
