On this Saturday morning, we are seeing a chilly start to the day. Overnight low of 7.3C at Stornoway Airport but some places have seen low temperatures. We are seeing a mixture of sunshine and cloud. There are a few light showers around but most places are dry. Winds are under 20 mph.
Across the highlands and islands on Friday Stornoway was the sunniest with 5.5 hours of sunshine and 4.4 mm of rainfall fell at Harris Quidnish.
Today – A mainly fine and dry day with some decent and prolonged sunshine. A few scattered showers. These mainly light but the odd heavier shower cannot be ruled out. Winds under 20 mph.
Sunday – A chilly start to the day. Overcast mainly dry with some sunshine. Cloud increases later with risk of rain. Winds gusting 20 to 30 mph.
Monday – Heavy overnight rain as we go Sunday into Monday with winds gusting 40 mph. Into Monday itself sunshine and showers with brisk winds.
Tuesday – Becoming milder. Sunshine and showers with winds gusting to 30 mph.
