Good afternoon and welcome to Mondays Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Monday afternoon we are seeing a mixture of sunshine and showers. Plenty of cloud around. Some of these showers are heavy in places. Todays high of 13.2C so far. Winds are gusting 30 mph.

Western Isles forecast – (UK forecast to follow)
Tuesday – A mainly fine and dry day. A mixture of sunshine and cloud with brisk winds gusting 30 mph later. Some decent spells of sunshine. A few scattered showers. High pressure builds in very briefly. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 6C to 14C
Wednesday – Low pressure sits to our North West and during Wednesday we are going to see some heavy and persistent rain. We will also see some strong winds gusting 30 to 40 mph. At times reaching 50 mph. Clearing away by late evening. Showery once the heavy rain clear away. Winds will be from the South West shifting North West to end the day.
Thursday – A mixture of sunshine and cloud. Brisk winds but easing under 20 mph later. A chilly day with temps in single figures. The cloud increasing as the day goes on.
Tuesday a mainly fine and dry day with a mixture of sunshine and cloud. Brisk winds. A few scattered showers. Wednesday heavy and at times persistent rain moves across the entire UK with blustery to strong winds. Thursday sunshine and showers. Some of these will be heavy at times. Plenty of drier conditions in Scotland away from the West Coast.
