Wednesday’s forecast – Wet and windy start, improving later.

Good evening Western Isles on this Tuesday evening we are seeing a fine and dry evening. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Todays high 13.2C

Overnight – We are going to see heavy and persistent rain moving across the Western Isles. Winds are going to gust 30 to 40 mph but gusting 50 to 55 mph across the Uists and Barra. It will be a milder night then we have seen recently.

Morning – The heavy rain will clear away and becoming lighter. Some sunshine but plenty of cloud and the winds will ease. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Afternoon – Mainly fine and dry. A few scattered showers. A mixture of sunshine and cloud. Winds under 20 mph.

Evening – A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Feeling chilly. Some early evening sunshine. A few scattered showers. Winds under 15 mph.

Winds will be from the South and South West. Shifting to come from the North West into the afternoon. Temps of 7C to 14C

Thursday – chilly start, overcast with scattered showers.

Friday – Sunshine and showers. Breezy.

Saturday – Rain which will be heavy at times but light winds. Risk of gales on Sunday.
