On this Wednesday morning, we are seeing a windy start to the day. We are seeing winds gusting 30 to 40 mph and in spots reaching 50 mph. We are also seeing rain moving across the islands which is heavy in places. The overnight low of 11C

Across the Highlands and Islands on Tuesday Stornoway was the Wettest with 1.8mm of rain fell.

Today – Further rain this morning which is heavy in places will slowly clear away by mid morning. Winds gusting 30 to 40 mph at times reaching 50 mph. Afternoon and evening mainly fine and dry with sunshine and cloud the odd shower cannot be ruled out. Winds under 20 mph.

Thursday – Overcast with spells of rain and a few sunny spells and light winds. Feeling cool.

Friday – Sunshine and showers. It will be breezy.

Saturday – a chilly start to the day with light winds. Rain will move in later becoming heavy with increasing winds.
