Monday’s forecast – A better day

Good evening Western Isles on this Sunday evening we are seeing heavy rain across large parts of the Islands. Further heavy rain is expected during the next few hours with winds gusting 30 to 40 mph. Todays highest temp of 13C

Overnight – We are going to see some rain and at times drizzle across the Western Isles. An overcast night with a few clear skies. Some low cloud. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Morning and afternoon – Mainly fine and dry with some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine. Some lingering rain in the morning but this should clear away. Variable amounts of cloud. Winds under 15 mph.

Evening – An overcast evening with some clear spells. Some rain pushing into the Uists and Barra but most places are expected to stay fine and dry. Winds under 20 mph but gusting 30 mph for the Uists and Barra.

Winds will be from the North and North East. Temps of 7C to 14C
