Welcome to the week ahead forecast. The full in depth forecast for Monday can be found in the update below this one. it has been a wet weekend across the Western Isles with the heaviest of the rainfall coming on Sunday. An unsettled week ahead.
Tuesday – Sunshine and showers. Some of these showers heavy at times. Winds light until the evening then increasing later. Low pressure dominates. Winds coming from the North West and temps of 7C to 13C
Wednesday – Again further sunshine and showers. Showery rain during the entire day these will be heavy at times. Some decent spells of sunshine at times. Winds gusting 30 to 40 mph. Winds will be from the West and North West and temps of 7C to 13C
Thursday – A lot of uncertainty as yet. With various computer models hinting at different things. We could see some very wet and windy weather with a deep area of low pressure moving across the UK. I will keep you posted. At the moment looks fairly wet and windy gusting 30 to 40 mph with spells of rain but lots of uncertainty so I will keep you posted.
Friday – Turning colder with sunshine and showers. A chilly start with a slight risk of frost and ice. Milder later with sunshine and showers. Winds of 20 to 30 mph. Temps of 4C to 12C
Long range – High pressure builds in and it is expected to become drier and brighter. But at this stage looks set to stay windy.
