Good afternoon and welcome to Tuesday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Tuesday afternoon we are seeing some showers moving across the Western Isles. Some of these are heavy in places. In between mainly dry with sunshine and quite a lot of cloud.

Western Isles forecast – (UK forecast to follow)
Wednesday – Low pressure dominates our weather with high pressure to our South West. We are going to see a day of sunshine and showers. Some of these showers will merge into some longer spells of rain. Winds gusting 20 to 30 mph at times reaching 40 mph winds will be from the North West. Turning drier and colder into the evening. Temps of 4C to 12C
Thursday – A much colder day on Thursday. We are going to see a day of sunshine and showers again. These will be heavy at times. It will be a chilly start. Into the evening winds will increase and chance or some gales by late evening. We are sandwiched between high and low pressure.
Friday – A chance of some gales during the early hours. Then lighter winds during Friday itself. Another showery day again with some sunshine. Prolonged spells of sunshine. Another chilly start to the day.
UK Forecast
Wednesday sunshine and showers for Scotland. Heavy rain for England and Wales. Thursday showers to start the day for most. Becoming drier with sunshine for England and Wales later. Showery for Scotland with an area of low pressure bringing wind and rain for Northern Ireland. Friday further ran for the bulk of the UK. Snow on the higher ground of Scotland. Showery again for the North West of Scotland.
