Wednesday’s forecast – Sunshine and showers with some spells of rain.

Good evening Western Isles on this Tuesday evening we are seeing some bands of rain moving across the Western Isles. These are heavy in places. Its a mainly overcast evening with some clear skies. Winds under 10 mph.

Overnight – A mixture of clear skies and cloud with some showers. These will merge into some longer spells of rain at times. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Morning – Further spells of showery rain which will merge into some longer spells of rain which will be heavy at times. These will be most frequent across Lewis and Harris. Some sunny spells in between. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Afternoon – Further showery rain and again some longer spells of rain. Some decent and prolonged spells of Sunshine. The showers become more scattered. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.

Evening – Showers but again becoming more scattered. Occasionally heavy. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Winds under 20 mph.

Winds will be from the North West and temps of 6C to 12C
