Good evening Western Isles. On this Thursday evening, we are seeing some very heavy rain moving across the Western Isles. Drier for parts of Lewis but rain will arrive here in time. Today’s high of 10.4C Winds under 20 mph but some gusts reaching 40 mph at times across the Uists and Barra.
Overnight – Further heavy and persistent rain moving across the Western Isles. Which will turn showery as the night goes on. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. A chilly morning again with lows of 4C. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.
Morning and afternoon – A mixture of sunshine and squally showers. These heavy at times with some hail mixed in slight chance of some of the showers being thundery in nature. Some decent spells of sunshine in between. Variable amounts of cloud. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.
Evening – Further scattered showers some of these heavy at times but becoming more scattered as the evening goes on. Mainly overcast with a few spells. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.
