On this Friday morning, we are seeing a chilly start to the day. Some snow on the hills of Harris. We are seeing heavy rain and showers which merge into some longer spells of rain. Some hail mixed in. It is overcast with some clear spells. Overnight low of 4C at Stornoway but was lower elsewhere. Winds gusting to 40 mph.
Across the Highlands and islands on Thursday, Harris Quidnish was the wettest with 7.6 mm
Today – We are going to see some heavy and squally showers which at times will merge into some longer spells of rain. We are going to see some hail and sleet mixed in and we could see some thunder at times. In between some decent spells of sunshine. Into the evening we are going to see some longer spells of rain. Winds gusting 30 mph. but this morning reaching 40 mph for the Uists and Barra.
Saturday – Another showery day. Heavy at times and overcast with winds gusting 30 to 40 mph.
Sunday – Overcast with rain at times. Heavy rain later. Brisk winds but these will ease later.
Monday – Overnight heavy rain and then sunshine and showers. A little milder.
