Week ahead forecast – sunshine and high pressure

Welcome to the week ahead forecast. The full in depth forecast for Monday can be found in the update below this one. This weekend had rain and showers at times with lighter winds and plenty of cloud. For the week ahead high pressure builds in with plenty of sunshine in the coming week.

Tuesday – A few overnight scattered showers and then and brisk winds from the North East. Mainly fine and dry for Tuesday day time. With some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine. Feeling chilly in the brisk wind. High pressure blocks the Atlantic off. Temps of 6C to 13C and winds from the North East gusting 30 to 40 mph.

Wednesday – High pressure dominates. We are going to see a fine and dry day with wall to wall sunshine by day. Clear skies by night. A risk of some frost and ice. Winds from the East and temps of 3C to 12C

Thursday – Sunshine and cloud with light winds. A dry day is forecast. High pressure stays in charge. Winds will be from the East and South East. Feeling chilly. Temps in single figures. Temps of 4C to 9C

Friday – Sunshine and cloud with brisk winds. Still feeling on the cool side but should be a dry day. Winds of 10 to 25 mph. Temps of 5C to 12C

Long range – Hiigh pressure builds in and it is expected to become drier and brighter. But at this stage looks set to stay windy.
