Good afternoon and welcome to Wednesday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
on this Wednesday afternoon we are seeing blue skies and sunshine. Wall to wall sunshine. some stubborn cloud for Barra. A nippy North Easterly wind. Winds under 20 mph and today high of 12.9C

Western Isles forecast – (UK forecast to follow)
Thursday – High pressure dominates. A mainly fine and dry day with light winds. A mixture of sunshine and cloud. More cloud then on Wednesday. A few scattered showers. High pressure of 1035. Winds from the North East and temps of 5 to 10C
Friday – A chilly start to the day with lows down to 4/5C. A mainly fine and dry with a mixture of sunshine and cloud. The odd scattered shower cannot be ruled out as high pressure dominates the weather across the UK. Winds will be from the North East and temps of 7C to 12C
Saturday – A cold front lingers to our North as a slight change of weather. High pressure scoots out the way. We are going to see an overcast day with some light rain and drizzle possible. It will be a colder day with winds from the North and North East.
UK Forecast
Thursday will be a mainly fine and dry with a mixture of sunshine and cloud. Brisk Easterly winds. A few scattered showers. Friday mainly fine and dry with a mixture of sunshine and cloud. Light winds and some rain for England but mainly dry. Saturday a largely settled day with more in the way of cloud. Showers along the East coast.
