Good afternoon and welcome to Fridays Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Friday afternoon we are seeing a mixture of blue skies and sunshine with quite a bit of stubborn to clear cloud. Today’s high so far of 11.6C and winds under 10 mph.
We are now going to take a look at the next few days weather. All the images shown below come from the Met office and can be found by following this link https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/maps-and-charts/surface-pressure
Western Isles forecast – (UK forecast to follow)
Saturday – An overcast day with cloud dominating. High pressure is in charge. A cold front sits to the North. Winds will be brisk from the North East gusting 20 to 30 mph. Some light rain and drizzle risk of some rain. Temps of 5C to 10C
Sunday – High pressure is in charge again. An overcast mainly dry day with some sunny spells. The odd shower cannot be ruled out. Winds will be light. Temps of 5C to 9C
The weather systems to our South West are what I am keeping an eye on for unsettled weather for Monday.
Monday – A total change in our weather for Monday as low pressure become the dominating factor. We are going to see heavy and persistent rain. Winds will gust 20 to 30 mph.
Sunday it will be an overcast day with spells of rain. Showery at times with some sunshine. Sunday rain for parts of England and light rain and drizzle in Scotland. Monday heavy rain and stronger winds in the West.
