On this Friday morning, we are seeing a band of heavy rain moving across the islands. This is now clearing out into the minch. Behind it, we are seeing a mixture of clear skies and cloud with further showers. Overnight low of 7.3C. Winds have been gusting 30 to 40 mph.
Today – We are going to see a day of sunshine and showers. Squally showers which will be heavy at times. A few of the showers will move into some longer spells of rain. In between some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine. Winds of 10 to 35 mph.
Saturday – A windy day with winds gusting 40 to 50 mph. A chance of some gusts reaching 60 to 65 mph for the Uists and Barra. Heavy morning rain and then sunshine and showers thereafter.
Sunday – Sunshine and showers with some heavy spells of rain at times. Winds gusting 40 to 55 mph.
Monday – Sunshine and showers with brisk winds gusting 30 to 40 mph.
