Good evening. Yes it is a Saturday night and I am blogging about the weather. Not much else to do on a Saturday night given the current situation with COVID. Anyway enough about that.
So we are seeing further bands of heavy rain moving across the islands this evening. We have seen thundery showers and even a few power cuts.
This is a recent radar grab

We also have 3 of the highest winds speeds across the UK today as of 2200 in the top 15.
Our first 60 mph of the season.

Also been quite a few lightning strikes as well

A power cut for Point and Sandwick earlier this evening. SSE issued a statement.
Hopefully all properties have the power back soon.
In case you missed it here is Sundays forecast

and finally this beautiful rainbow was captured in Harris today. Once again showing beauty in the raging storm
Have a great evening.
