Week ahead forecast – further spells of rain and wind.

Welcome to the week ahead forecast. The full in depth forecast for Monday can be found in the update below this one. The weekend has been wet and windy with thunderstorms. This next week will be unsettled once again. Nothing significant but more rain and wind.

Tuesday – a mixed day with rain and blustery winds. The heaviest if the rain will be across the Uists and Barra. Some sunny spells at times. We are going to see winds gusting 30 to 40 mph. For Lewis and Harris overcast with winds gusting 40 mph. Winds will be from the South East and South West. Temps of 5C to 12C

Wednesday – We are going to see a day of sunshine and showers with brisk winds. Winds gusting 30 to 40 mph. Showers again which will be heavy at times. Some sunny intervals at times. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 6C to 11C

Thursday – Dry and sunny start. Rain will move in later which will become heavy as the evening goes on. Winds gusting 20 to 40 mph. Winds will be from the South West and South East. Temps of 6C to 12C

Friday – Another wet day. Spells of rain which will be heavy at times and some sunny spells. Winds gusting 30 to 40 mph. In the early hours gusting 50 mph. Temps of 5C to 12C

Next weekend – Saturday largely fine and dry. Rain and gales for Sunday.
