Good morning Western Isles this is your morning brief

On this Wednesday morning, we are seeing showers around. some of these are heavy in places. We are seeing some clear skies and cloud. Some sunny spells. Overnight low of 7.6C. Winds under 20 mph for Lewis and Harris gusting 40 mph for the Uists and Barra.

Today – We are going to see sunshine and squally showers. These will be heavy at times. These could merge for a time into some longer spells of time. We are going to see some decent spells of sunshine in between. Winds gusting 20 to 40 mph. Strongest across the Uists and Barra.

Thursday – Further spells of rain which will be heavy at times. Winds gusting 30 to 40 mph again possibly reaching 50 mph for the Uists and Barra. Some sunshine in the morning.

Friday – Mainly dry with winds gusting 30 to 40 mph. Sunny spells. Mainly dry.

Saturday – Heavy rain and strong winds. Lots of uncertainty yet as to how much rain and how strong the winds will be.
