Friday’s forecast – Sunshine and showers.

Good evening Western Isles on this Thursday evening we are seeing some lingering rain and showers. But for the Uists and Barra, the rain has cleared away. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Today’s high of 12.8C so far. Winds gusting 30 to 40 mph.

Overnight – The lingering heavy rain will clear away. We are going to see a mixture of clear skies and cloud. Some showers which will be heavy at times. Winds gusting 30 to 40 mph.

Morning and afternoon – We are going to see some showers around and these will be heavy at times. But they will be fairly scattered so not all will see showers. Some decent spells of sunshine. Variable amounts of cloud. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Evening – A few scattered showers but these should clear away. We are going to see a mixture of clear skies and cloud. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.

Winds will be from the South West and temps of 5C to 10C

Saturday – We are going to see winds gusting 30 to 40 mph. Spells of rain which will be heavy at times and some sunny spells in the morning.

Sunday – Further spells of rain with winds gusting 40 to 50 mph. Strongest for the Uists and Barra we could see 60 to 65 mph gusts here.

Monday – Sunshine and showers with brisk winds gusting 30 to 40 mph.
