Sunday 1st November Storm for the Western Isles.

Good afternoon all this is an afternoon update about the storm currently impacting the Western Isles. This isn’t a named storm per say but is the remements of Hurricane Zeta which made landfall on the Louisiana during the middle of last week and was in the Caribbean sea before that so a very well travelled system.

We are currently in the peak of the strong winds which is expected to last until 8/9 pm this evening. With winds gusting 60 to 70 mph possibly in some locations reaching 80 mph. We are also seeing thundery showers and some hail mixed in.
