Good afternoon and welcome to Tuesday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Tuesday afternoon we are seeing a few scattered showers and these heavy in places. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Todays high of 9.9C and winds under 20 mph.

Western Isles forecast – (UK forecast to follow)
Wednesday – High pressure sits across the UK. For us in the Western Isles we are going to see brisk winds with some rain later from a warm front. It will be a mainly overcast day with some light rain moving in during the evening. Winds will gust to 30 mph again reaching 40 mph later in the evening. Winds will be from the North West and temps of 6C to 11C
Thursday – High pressure dominates across the UK still. We are going to see some light rain and drizzle again. More spells of sunshine. Winds gusting 20 to 30 mph. We in the Western Isles are on the edge of the high pressure system. Winds will be from the South West. Temps of 7C to 11C
Friday – high pressure still dominates and winds are going to finally start to ease down. Winds under 25 mph. Mainly fine and dry with a few scattered showers. A mixture of sunshine and cloud. Winds will be from the South West. Temps of 6C to 11C
Wednesday mainly fine and dry with sunshine and cloud. Some light rain into the North West later. Thursday mainly fine with sunshine and cloud. Friday fine dry and settled as high pressure dominates.
