Good afternoon and welcome to Wednesday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Wednesday afternoon we are seeing overcast conditions for most with some sunny spells. Light rain and drizzle for parts of Lewis and Harris. Today’s high of 10.3C. Winds under 20 mph.

Western Isles forecast – (UK forecast to follow)
Thursday – We are going to see a fine and dry day. We are going to see a mixture of sunshine and cloud. High pressure dominates across the UK with the high located on the South Coast of Ireland. Winds will gust 30 to 40 mph in the Western Isles. Winds will be from the West and South West and temps of 9C to 13C
Friday – An overcast day. We are going to see some spells of light rain and drizzle but mainly it should be dry. Some sunny spells. Winds gusting 30 to 40 mph but easing under 10 mph to end the day. High pressure still dominates. Winds will be from the South West and temps of 5C to 11C
Saturday – A mainly fine and dry day. A weakening cold front moves across the Western Isles. A mixture of sunshine and cloud. Winds will be light under 10 mph. Winds will be from variable directions and temps of 4C to 11C
UK forecast
Thursday fine and dry with sunshine and cloud as high pressure dominates. Friday mainly fine and dry with some rain moving in from the South later. Saturday fine and dry with rain for Northern Ireland and South West England. Elsewhere fine dry and sunny.
