Weather Watch 6th November 2020

Good evening and welcome to Fridays Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.

On this Friday afternoon we are seeing overcast conditions. Some light rain and drizzle. Winds gusting 20 to 30 mph. Today’s high so far of 11.1C

Western Isles forecast – (UK forecast to follow)

Saturday – We are going to see a mainly fine and dry day. Plenty of sunshine. Prolonged spells of sunshine at times with variable amounts of cloud. Winds under 10 mph from variable directions and temps of 5C to 11C

High pressure is still in charge with low pressure to the South West of the UK.

Sunday – Conditions turn more unsettled as we go into Sunday. We are going to see rain and showers which will be heavy at times. Winds will be light under 10 mph but increasing 20 to 30 mph later into the evening. It will be a mainly overcast day with some sunny spells.

Monday – low pressure sits over Ireland and we are in a brisk airflow. We are going to see sunshine and cloud with winds gusting 30 mph. A few scattered showers. Some of these heavy at times. Winds will be from the South and South East. Temps of 5C to 13C

UK forecast

Saturday mainly fine and dry day with sunshine and cloud. Some rain into Wales, South West England and Northern Ireland later. Sunday more rain and showers for Scotland but mainly dry for much of England away from the far South West. Monday rain and showers for most with some sunny spells.
