Good afternoon and welcome to Monday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Monday afternoon we are seeing some rain which is mainly light. Its largely overcast with some sunny spells. Today high of 13C mild for November. Winds under 10 mph for Lewis and Harris but gusting 40 mph for the Uists and Barra.

Western Isles forecast – (UK forecast to follow)
Tuesday – We are going to see another overcast day with some sunny spells. With rain pushing in later becoming heavy. Winds gusting 30 to 40 mph across the Uists and Barra. Increasing later for Lewis and Harris. Winds will be from the South and South East and temps of 6C to 12C
We are seeing a brisk airflow across the islands with an weather front sitting across the islands with a developing low pressure system in the Atlantic.
Wednesday – An area of low pressure system will move across the Western Isles. It will bring some heavy rainfall and strong winds. Winds will gust 40 to 50 mph at times we could see 60 mph for the Uists and Barra. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 5C to 12C
High pressure still sits over Europe. Low pressure over the Western Isles and out next storm system out in the Atlantic.
Thursday – Another overcast day with some sunny spells. We are going to see spells of rain which will be heavy at times. Winds gusting 30 to 40 mph at times reaching 50 mph later. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 4C to 11C
A fairly deep area of low pressure sits in the Atlantic 966 mb. High pressure out to the West over Europe. The low is expected to bring us more wind and rain on Friday.
UK forecast
Tuesday will see morning scattered showers becoming fine and dry later with rain moving into North West Scotland later in the day. Wednesday it will be windy with rain becoming heavy sweeping across the islands. Very windy for North West of Scotland. Thursday fine and dry with high pressure in charge but further rain arriving in from the West later.
