Weather Watch 12th November 2020

Good afternoon and welcome to Thursday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.

On this Thursday afternoon we are seeing some rain moving across the Western Isles. Heavy in places. Mainly overcast and drier across Lewis. Todays high of 10.3C so far and winds gusting 40 to 50 mph.

Remind we remain under a Scottish Environment Protection Agency flood alert for the Western Isles.

Western Isles forecast – (UK forecast to follow)

Friday – We are going to see low pressure to the North West of the UK. We are going to see a brisk airflow. We are going to see a brisk airflow with winds gusting 40 to 50 mph. The odd gust reaching 60 mph cannot be ruled out for the Uists and Barra. We are going to see some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine. Some overnight rain which will be heavy at times. We are going to see showers tomorrows. These heavy in places. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 5C to 11C

Saturday – Low pressure dominates our weather once again with low pressure 981 mb on Midday on Saturday. We are going to see a day of showers. Plenty of cloud with some sunny spells. Some heavier rain moving in later. Winds will be from the South and South East with winds gusting 20 to 40 mph. Temps of 8C to 13C

Sunday – Low pressure moves across the UK on Sunday. We are going to see winds under 20 mph. Again some sunshine. A few heavy showers around. winds will be from variable directions. Temps of 4C to 11C

Friday rain will move across the UK and this will. clear dry in the East and wet in the West. Saturday wet and windy with gales for most. Sunday for strong winds and rain for most.
