Good evening, Western Isles on this Monday evening we are seeing rain and showers. These are heavy in places. Mainly overcast with some dry spots with a few clear skies. Today’s high of 9.7C and winds under 10 mph for most but gusting 30 mph for Uists and Barra.

Overnight – We are going to see some heavy rain. This will become persistent for a time. Some clear spells but the cloud will dominate. Winds under 20 mph but some gusts reaching 40 possibly 50 mph for the Uists and Barra during the early hours of the morning.
Morning and afternoon – We are going to see mainly overcast conditions with some sunny spells. A few showers with a risk of some longer spells of rain at times in the afternoon. Some drizzle later in the day. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.
Evening – Heavy rain will sweep across the entire Western Isles. This will become persistent at times and slow moving. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.
