Wednesday’s forecast – Further rain

Good evening Western Isles on this Tuesday evening we are seeing some heavy rain and persistent rain moving across the islands. Some lighter rain in places. Winds under 10 mph. Today’s high of 12C

Overnight – We are going to see further spells of rain which will be heavy at times. Persistent in places. Some clear spells and rain becomes lighter for a time. Winds of 10 to 30 mph some gusts reaching 40 to 50 mph.

Morning and afternoon – Further spells of rain which will be heavy at times. Some longer spells of rain at times. Some breaks in the cloud allowing for some sunshine. Winds of 10 to 30 mph gusting 40 mph.

Evening – Further spells of rain and these heavy at times with some clear spells. Turning colder as the evening goes on. Winds will ramp up again gusting 40 to 50 mph some gusts reaching 60 mph.

Winds will be from the South West shifting to come from the North later. Temps of 2C to 12C

Thursday – A cold blast coming down from the North a windy start but winds easing later. We are going to see showers which some of these could be wintry in places. Some sunny spells and a risk of frost and ice later

Friday – Heavy rain and stronger winds again gusting to 50 mph.

Saturday – Windy all day with heavy rain.
