On this Wednesday evening, we are seeing a bitterly cold wind blasting down from the North. We are seeing rain across the entire Western Isles with some dry slots. Winds gusting 20 to 40 mph. Temps down to 6.3C
Overnight – Winds will drop. Under 20 mph after gusting 40 to 50 mph. We are going to see a mixture of clear skies and cloud. Some showers and these could be wintry with a chance of it falling as snow greatest risk over higher ground. A risk of some frost and ice.
Morning and afternoon – We are going to see a mixture of sunshine and cloud. Some decent spells of sunshine. A few showers these decreasing in frequency as the day goes on. But in the morning fairly widespread. Thes heavy and possibly wintry again could be the odd snow shower mixed in. it will feel cold and there is a chance of some frost and ice patches. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.
Evening – Cloud will rapidly race in across the Western Isles. This will be accompanied by some mainly light rain moving across the Western Isles. Temps will also start to rise and with it winds increasing gusting 30 to 40 mph.
Winds will be from the North and North West. Temps of 2C to 7C but feeling colder in the wind chill.
