Good afternoon and welcome to Wednesday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Wednesday we are seeing rain and showers. Temps are starting to drop down to 7.4C and winds under 20 mph.

Western Isles forecast – (UK forecast to follow)
Thursday – We are going to see a cold day with a mixture of sunshine and cloud. A few wintry showers are possible. Winds gusting 40 mph overnight. Winds easing during the day but increasing once again as we go into the evening. Further spells of rain into the evening. These becoming heavy at times. Some wintry showers but becoming milder. Winds will be from the North and North West but shifting by the end of the day to come from the South West. Temps of 2C to 8C.
Friday – A wet day we are going to see rain sweeping across the Western Isles and this will be heavy at times. Two areas of low pressure sit out in the Atlantic and they will bring strong winds and rain across the islands. Winds gusting 40 to 50 mph. Into the late evening we are going to see winds gusting 60 possibly 70 mph in some exposed coastal areas. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 5C to 13C
Saturday – Low pressure still dominates our weather. Low 957 mb sits far to our North. We are going to see a mainly fine and dry conditions. Some sunshine. It will be a windy day with winds gusting 40 to 50 mph at times reaching 60 mph. Winds will be from the West and South West. Temps of 5C to 10C
UK forecast
Thursday mainly fine and dry with a few wintry showers. Plenty of sunshine and cloud. But rain moves in from the West later. Friday strong winds and rain for most with the heaviest in the North West of Scotland. Saturday we are going to see rain and wintry showers for Scotland. Drier and brighter for the rest of the UK.
