Good afternoon and welcome to Thursday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
on this Thursday afternoon we are seeing mainly fine and dry conditions with sunshine and cloud. A few scattered showers. Winds under 10 mph and a high so far today of 5.9C

Western Isles forecast – (UK forecast to follow)
Friday – We are going to see low pressure dominating our weather. Low pressure sits to our North West close to Iceland. We are going to see winds gusting 40 to 50 mph. Into the evening gusting 60 mph. We are going to see further rounds of rain which will be heavy in places. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 8C to 13C
Saturday – Low pressure swings round past Iceland and deeps far to our North 958 mb. But in its wake we are going to see strong winds with gusting 40 to 50 mph throughout the entire day. Most places will be fine and dry with sunshine and a few scattered showers. Feeling a little cooler than on Friday. Winds will be from the West and South West of 5C to 11C
Sunday – We are going to carry in seeing a mobile airflow of weather across the Western Isles but the winds are going to gradually ease down gusting 20 to 40 mph. A day of sunshine and showers. Some of these wintry a times. The next area of low pressure sits out in the Atlantic with high pressure to the far South of the UK. Winds will be from the West and temps of 4C to 11C
Friday rain and showers to start for most becoming drier later apart from the far North West of Scotland with showers here and gales. Showers for Scotland with. snow on the hill on Saturday. A weakening cold front moves across the UK bring some rain but staying dry for the far South of the UK. Sunday a sunshine and showers day with brisk winds.
