Good afternoon all. A Met Office yellow weather warning for wind has been issued for Orkney and Shetland for Saturday.
The warning comes into force at 05:00 Saturday morning and expires at 13:00 on Saturday afternoon.

The full warning and latest updates can be found here https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/warnings-and-advice/uk-warnings#?date=2020-11-21&id=f8a71e89-744f-49c7-aad7-def9300c5de1&details
Here is a chart from Windyty from the Midnight 0z run showing the 72 mph winds for Shetland.

These winds speeds nothing to unusual for the Northern Isles but one of the strongest spells of wind for the area this Autumn / Winter so far.
For us on the Western isles no weather warning has been issued but we are expecting to see winds gusting 40 to 50 mph. Possibly some gusts reaching 60 mph but not as strong as they will see in the Northern Isles.
