Monday’s forecast – Trying to find more interesting ways of saying wind and rain.

Good evening Western Isles on this Sunday evening we are still seeing squally showers moving across the Western Isles. These with hail and sleet mixed in places. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Today’s high of 8.6C. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.

Overnight – Overnight we are going to see further squally showers. Heavy at times and possibly thundery with some hail and sleet mixed in. Winds of 10 to 30 mph gusting 40 mph.

Morning and afternoon – We are going to see a band of heavy rain sweeping across the Western Isles. This will be slow moving in places. Clearing away late afternoon lingering across Barra and South Uist into the evening. Some squally showers before the band of rain. Winds gusting 30 to 50 mph.

Evening – Winds ease down a little. Its mainly going to be overcast with some clear spells. Winds are going to gust 20 to 40 mph strongest for the Uists and Barra.

Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 7C to 11C but feeling cold in the wind chill.
