Week ahead forecast – A mundane week

Welcome to the week ahead forecast. The full in depth forecast for Monday can be found in the update below this one. This weekend has seen squally showers and blustery winds across the islands. Its been a cold one as well. More in the way of high pressure this week

Tuesday – Things are a little more settled on Tuesday as low pressure clears away. We are going to see mainly overcast conditions. Some light rain and a few sunny spells. Most places should stay dry. Winds of 10 to 30 mph from the South West. Temps of 4C to 11C

Wednesday – High pressure builds across the Western Isles. We are going to see mainly fine and dry conditions. A few overnight showers. Plenty of sunshine and quite a bit of cloud. A few evening showers again variable amounts of cloud. Winds of 10 to 30 mph. Temps of 2C to 8C with a cold start to the day.

Thursday – A chilly day is on the cards. The cloud dominating with some scattered showers but most places staying dry. Winds light in the morning gusting 30 mph later. Winds will be from the South West and temps of 4C to 11C

Friday – A sunshine and showers day. These heavy at times in the morning. The cloud increasing as the day goes on. Winds gusting 20 to 30 mph from South West and North West. Temps of 3C to 10C

Next weekend – Next weekend looks showery with brisk winds.
