On this Monday morning, we are seeing rain across most of the Western Isles. A little earlier than expected. Showery in places ahead of the rain and strong winds. Overnight low of 6.1C. Winds are gusting 40 mph.

Across the highlands and islands on Sunday, South Uist had the highest maximum temperature of 8.6C

Today – We are going to see rain moving across the islands for the next few hours. This will become heavy at times and slow moving. Winds during this time will gust 40 to 50 mph. During the afternoon and evening, The heavy rain will slowly clear away and we will see sunshine and showers. These heavy at times. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. Temps of 6C to 10C but feeling colder in the wind chill. Winds will be from the South West.

Tuesday – Overcast and showery day with winds gusting 20 to 40 mph. A colder day.

Wednesday – Sunshine and showers with brisk winds.

Thursday – Cold with sunny spells. Mainly dry and lighter winds.
