Weather Watch 23rd November 2020

Good afternoon and welcome to Monday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.

On this Monday we are seeing bands of heavy rain moving across the islands. Mainly overcast with some clear skies. Today high so far of 10.3C. Winds have been gusting 50 to 60 mph.

Western Isles forecast – (UK forecast to follow)

Tuesday – We are going to see an overcast day with a few scattered showers. It will be a breezy day with winds gusting 20 to 30 mph. Weare in between high pressure and low pressure to our North West. Winds will be from the South West. Temps of 5C to 10C

Wednesday – High pressure starts to build across the UK. Things slowly start to settle down across the Western Isles. A front moving down from the North could bring variable amounts of cloud and some scattered overnight showers. It will be a cold day with winds coming from the North West. Some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine. Winds of 10 to 30 mph easing as the day goes on. Temps of 0C to 9C

Thursday – High pressure sits across the UK. More settled conditions across the Western Isles. We are going to see a cold start to the day with a risk of a widespread frost. A mixture of sunshine and cloud. Should be mainly dry. Winds of 10 to 25 mph. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 0C to 9C

Tuesday heavy rain across Northern Ireland and Scotland. Showers elsewhere mainly dry. Rain for the South East and scattered showers for Scotland but becoming fine dry and cold later. Thursday fine dry settled and chilly with some mist and fog with a few scattered showers.
