Weather Watch 25th November 2020

Good afternoon and welcome to Wednesday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.

On this Wednesday afternoon we are seeing sunshine and showers with variable amounts of cloud. Showers becoming more scattered. Today’s high of 9.2C Winds under 10 mph.

Western Isles forecast – (UK forecast to follow)

Thursday – A mainly fine and dry day with sunshine and cloud. Light winds to start the day but winds increasing as the day goes on. We are going to see a chilly night with a mixture of clear skies and cloud with a risk of frost and ice. Temps will drop close to or below freezing in spots. Into Thursday day time we are going to see sunshine and cloud. The odd scattered shower cannot be ruled out. Temps will increase as the day goes on. Winds of 10 to 30 mph. Winds from the North but will shift to come in from the South West. Temps of 1C to 10C

Friday – overnight Thursday into Friday a cold front will race across the Western Isles. This will bring some spells of rain. Heavy in places. It will be a chilly start to the day again with a risk of some frost and ice in places. It will be chilly behind the cold front. We are going to see sunshine and cloud. Some decent spells of sunshine. A risk of a few showers once again as we go overnight into Saturday. Winds will be under 20 mph and from variable directions and temps of 3C to 8C

Saturday – High pressure still dominates across the UK with various weather fronts skirting around the coast. We are going to see some overnight rain. Into Saturday day we should see fine dry conditions with sunshine and cloud. Mainly light winds. Winds will be from the South and South East. Temps of 5C to 10C

Thursday fine and dry for most but some rain for the far South East of England and later in the North West of Scotland. Friday mainly fine and dry with sunshine. Away from Scotland as high pressure dominates. Saturday will again see fine dry and settled conditions with rain along the coasts.
