Weather Watch 28th November 2020

Good afternoon and welcome to Saturday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.

On this Saturday afternoon mainly fine and dry. Plenty of cloud with some sunshine. The odd isolated shower. Winds under 20 mph. Todays high of 9.3C so far.

Western Isles forecast – (UK forecast to follow)

Sunday – Will see a mainly overcast day once again. Low pressure sits over Iceland and high pressure sits over the UK. Some Rain will move in during the evening. Some sunny spells but the cloud dominating. Winds will be from the South West around 10 to 30 mph. Temps of 5C to 9C

Monday – High pressure declines for a time. We are going to see weather fronts move across the Western Isles. Rain overnight into monday which will be heavy at times. Winds of 10 to 30 mph. The rain will turn showery as as the Monday goes before clearing away to leave a dry but overcast end to the day. Winds will be from the North West around 10 to 30 mph. Temps of 2C to 10C

Tuesday – A deep area of low pressure sits across Iceland 966 mb. Trailing warm front sits across the Western Isles. High pressure sits over the UK. We are going to see an overcast day once again with spells of rain. Drist spells in the afternoon. Winds of 10 to 30 mph. Winds will be from the West and South West. Temps of 3C to 11C

Looking further ahead into later in the week and it looks like we are going to see a cold snap across the UK. A lot of uncertainty as yet but something I will keep you updated on.

UK forecast

Sunday mainly fine and dry with rain arriving later in the North West of Scotland. A cold frosty start for many. Monday mainly fine and dry with some outbreaks of rain breezy. Tuesday fine and dry with sunshine and cloud. Some rain arrives in the West later.
