Monday’s forecast – Overnight rain and improving later

Good evening Western Isles on this Sunday evening we are seeing rain across most of the Western Isles. This rain is heavy in places. Some dry slots. Winds gusting 10 to 30 mph and today’s high of 9.3C

Overnight – We are going to see spells of rain which will be heavy at times. Some lighter spells of rain. The cloud will dominate. Winds of 10 to 30 mph gusting 40 mph for the Uists and Barra.

Morning – Some lingering rain but this will clear away. Behind it, we will see sunshine and showers. Some of these heavy at times. We are going to see spells of sunshine at times. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.

Afternoon – We are going to see some decent spells of sunshine. Variable amounts of cloud. A few scattered showers but for most, it will be dry. Winds under 20 mph.

Evening – A mixture of clear skies and cloud. The cloud increases as the night goes on. It will also turn colder as the evening goes on. Winds under 20 mph. Under the clear skies, we could see the odd patch of frost and ice.

Winds will be from the North West and temps of 2C to 10C
