Welcome to the week ahead forecast. The full in depth forecast for Monday can be found in the update below this one. This weekend has been mainly settled. Some rain at times. Light winds with some sunshine at times. Chilly evenings.
Tuesday – It will be an overcast day with spells of rain. This becoming more widespread as we go into the evening. We are going to see some sunny spells. Winds of 10 to 30 mph increasing as the day goes on. Winds will be from the South West and Temps of 4C to 11C
Wednesday – Quite a bit of uncertainty. We are going to see a showery airflow setting up across the Western Isles. Rain, sleet and snow showers will pile in across the Western isles. This could result in a snow dusting for a time but at this stage not expecting too much. Some sunny spells in between. Feeling very chilly in the wind chill. Winds will be from the South West around 20 to 40 mph with some gusts reaching 50 mph. Temps of 1C to 6C
Thursday – If you have been following me for a long time you know I hate forecast snow. Not saying there is going to be snow on Thursday. There is likely to be wintry showers but there is some uncertainty as to the forecast. We are likely to see a cold day with wintry showers as well but depending on the position of low pressure systems we could see some heavier showers and strong winds as well but we may end up with some rain and lighter winds. Too early to say as yet but keeping an eye on things. Winds will be from the West.
Friday – Again plenty of uncertainty but another cold day with spells of rain at times. Stronger winds but some sunny spells. Brisk winds coming in from the East and North East. Temps of 5C to 10C
Next weekend – Next weekend looks showery with brisk winds.
I hope you have a great week. Over the course of the coming week, we will keep you updated with the latest weather and the 3 day ahead forecasts. Keep an eye on the blog for extra updates!
