On this Friday morning, we are seeing a windy start to the day. A few scattered showers and some of these wintry but most places are dry. Temps around 2C to 5C. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Across the highlands and islands on Thursday South Uist had the highest maximum temperature of 4.6C
Today – An overcast day with some sunny spells at times. Rain is going to move in later in the day and this will be heavy at times. Any frost and ice will clear aways as the morning goes on. Winds are going to gust 30 to 40 mph reaching 50 mph for the Uists and Barra. Temps will increase to 8/9C. Winds will be from the North and North East and will feel cold in the wind chill.
Saturday – Sunshine and showers. Winds gusting 30 to 40 mph.
Sunday – Overcast breezy but mainly dry. Chilly start.
Monday – A cold and mainly dry and breezy day.
