Saturday’s forecast – Sunshine and showers.

Good evening Western Isles on this Friday evening we are seeing some rain across the Western Isles. There is some sleet mixed in. Some dry spells and clear skies. Today’s high of 7.1C and winds gusting 40 to 50 mph.

Overnight – We are going to see further spells of heavy rain. Some clear skies and plenty of cloud. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Morning and afternoon – A mixture of sunshine and showers. These showers will be heavy and squally at times. Most frequent across Lewis and Harris. Some decent spells of sunshine in between the showers and some decent dry conditions for a time. Winds easing. Winds of 10 to 25 mph.

Evening – A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Some showers. These becoming more scattered as the night goes on. Winds under 20 mph.

Winds will be from the North East and temps of 4C to 9C
