Tuesday’s forecast – Rain and Wind

Good evening Western Isles on this Monday evening we are seeing rain and showers moving across the Western isles these are heavy in places. Winds gusting 30 mph. Today’s high of 7.1C

Overnight – We are going to see spells of rain. These will be heavy at times. Some hail mixed in with some of the showery rain. Winds gusting 40 to 50 mph strongest over the Uists and Barra. Some clear spells but the cloud mainly dominating.

Morning and afternoon – Further spells of rain. Heavy at times with some showery rain. Staying windy gusting 30 to 40 mph. Some gusts reaching 50 mph for a time. Some sunshine in between. The rain turning increasingly showery into the later afternoon.

Evening – Overcast with further showers these becoming more scattered. Winds easing for Lewis and Harris under 25 mph but gusting 30 to 40m for the Uists and Barra.

Winds will be from the North and North East. Temps of 4C to 9C but feeling colder in the wind chill.
