Good afternoon and welcome to Monday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Monday afternoon we are seeing fine dry conditions. Sunshine and cloud. Winds under 10 mph and todays high of 7c
Rain arriving into Scotland will eventually push into the Western Isles overnight.

Western Isles forecast – (UK forecast to follow)
Tuesday – on Tuesday low pressure dominates across the UK 992 mb. This will bring windy weather across the Western Isles. Winds gusting 30 to 40 mph at times reaching 50 mph. Overnight spells of heavy rain moving across the Islands. Behind we are going to see further spells of rain it will turning increasingly showers for the late morning and afternoon. Some sunshine in between the showers. Winds will be from the North and North West and temps of 6C to 10C
Wednesday – High pressure builds across the Western Isles. We are going to see overcast and drier conditions with a few scattered showers. Some sunny spells. Winds will be lighter gusting to 20 mph. Into the evening gusting 30 mph into the evening for the Uists and Barra. Winds will be from the South West and South East. Temps of 4C to 9C
Thursday – Another weather front sits across the Western Isles. Spells of rain which will be heavy at times. It will be an overcast day with some sunny spells. Winds gusting 20 to 40 mph. Strongest for the Uists and Barra. Winds will be from the South East. Temps of 5C to 10C
UK forecast
Tuesday large areas of the UK will see spells of rain. Heavy at times with brisk winds. The low pressure system weakens as the day goes on. A foggy start for many. Wednesday high pressure builds in for a time before rain arrives into South West England later. Thursday after a dry start heavy rain will move in from the West with gales.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for fog for the South East of England from 16:00 today until 1100 Tuesday morning.
