On this Monday morning, we are seeing a band of rain moving across the Western Isles. Drier for Northern Lewis and Barra for now. The rain is heavy in places. Cloud is dominating. Winds under 20 mph. Overnight low of 8.6C
Across the Highlands and island on Sunday, South Uist had the highest maximum temperature of 9.3C
Today – We are going to see some rain and showers. These will be heavy at times. Some showers will merge into some longer spells of rain at times. Some sunny spells at times but the cloud will largely dominate. Winds will be from the South and South West. Gusting 20 to 30 mph some gusts reaching 40 mph at times. Temps of 6C to 11C but will feel colder in the wind chill.
Tuesday – Sunshine and showers and some of these heavy at times. Blustery winds. Becoming drier later.
Wednesday – A dry overcast start with rain moving in later. This will be heavy at times possibly persistent. Winds gusting 40 mph.
Thursday – Sunshine and showers. Becoming cooler with lighter winds.
