Good afternoon and welcome to Tuesday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Tuesday afternoon we are seeing mainly overcast conditions with a few showers around. These heavy in places. Some sunny spells. Todays high of 9.0C

Western Isles forecast – (UK forecast to follow)
Wednesday – Low pressure dominates with a low moving across Ireland and fills as it moves towards the Western Isles. This will bring spells of rain and this will be heaviest across the Uist and Barra. Rain will reach Lewis and Harris later, Winds gusting 30 to 40 mph. It will be a mainly overcast day with winds from the South and South East. Temps of 6C to 11C
Thursday – In between low pressure systems on Thursday with one low pressure system moving away and the next building in the Atlantic. We are going to see brisk winds and showery conditions on Wednesday. Winds gusting 20 to 40 mph. Some of the showers will be heavy at times with some decent spells of sunshine in between. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps of 6C to 11C
Friday – A broad area of low pressure sits out in the Atlantic. It will bring spells of heavy rain at times for the Western isles. Some showery rain and occasional sunny spells. Winds gusting 20 to 30 mph. We will see the odd spell of winds gusting 40 to 50 mph. Winds will be from the South and South East. Temps of 6C to 11C
UK Forecast
Wednesday heavy rain and rain for most becoming drier in the East and Southern England later in the day. Strong winds as well. Thursday rain and blustery winds for all. Friday heavy rain, Heaviest in the West becoming drier in the East. Warnings have been issued more below.

A Met Office yellow weather warning for wind has been issued parts of England, Wales and Northern ireland for Wednesday.
A warning has also been issued for Wednesday for parts of Wales and South West England
Also a Met Office warning for rain for South West England and Southern Wales from Thursday evening until Saturday morning
