On this Friday morning, we are seeing a dry start to the day for Lewis and Harris but rain is moving into Uist and Barra. This is heavy in places. Winds under 20 mph. Overnight low of 6.7C
Across the highland and islands on Thursday Stornoway was the sunniest with 1.8 hours of sunshine.
Today – The band of rain is going to move across the entire Western Isles. This will be heavy at times. Once it clears we are going to see a mixture of clear skies and sunny spells with showery rain its wake. Winds of 20 to 40 mph some gusts for Uist and Barra reaching 50 mph. The winds will ease again this evening. Winds will be from the South East but will shift to come from the South West into the late afternoon. Temps of 6C to 11C but feeling colder in the wind chill.
Saturday – Thundery showers possible. Blustery winds. Sunshine and showers.
Sunday – Sunshine and showers. Brisk winds. Feeling colder.
Monday – Sunshine and showers but winds easing. Feeling cold.
