Sundays forecast – Sunshine and scattered showers.

Good evening Western isles on this Saturday evening we are seeing rain and showers moving across the Western Isles this evening and they are heavy in places. Some hail mixed in. Winds gusting 30 to 50 mph strongest for Uist and Barra. Today’s high of 9.9C

Overnight – We are going to see a mixture of clear skies and cloud with some showers. These heavy at times. It will remain on the windy side. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. Strongest for Uist and Barra.

Morning and afternoon – Further sunshine and showers. These again heavy at times and will merge into some longer spells of rain. Showers will become increasingly squally as the day goes on and they could be thundery at times. Some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine. Showers most frequent across Uist and Barra. Winds of 20 to 40 mph some gusts teaching 50 mph cannot be ruled out.

Evening – Again a mixture of clear skies and showers. Some of these squally and possibly thundery in nature. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Winds will be from the South West. Temps of 4C to 10C but feeling colder in the wind chill.
