Welcome to the penultimate white Christmas forecast for 2020. Thank you for everyone who shared photos and enjoyed our updates. All 4 computer models are now onboard for Christmas day and we really wont see much changes between now and the big day.

So there is full model agreement for Christmas day between the 4 models that we are going to see a mild day across the Western Isles with temps getting into double figures in some locations. A cold start but becoming milder as the day goes on. Winds will increase as the day goes on and by late afternoon and early evening winds gusting 30 to 40 mph. Spells of rain which will be heavy at times.
We could see some wintry showers on Christmas Eve early in the day. Boxing day and the 27th has a greater chance of seeing wintry showers.

So based on the latest model run information and the trends at this stage I am going to go for a 20% chance of Western Isles White Christmas.
Final update will be on Christmas Eve.
