On this Wednesday morning, we are seeing frost and ice in many places. We are seeing quite a few reports of bad ice conditions. We are seeing a mixture of clear skies and cloud. A few scattered showers these mainly confined to Lewis and Harris. Winds under 10 mph. Temps are close to or below freezing.

Today – A few scattered showers. Some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine. Some of the showers could be wintry at times later but most places staying dry. A cold day with winds gusting 20 mph but increasing 30 to 40 mph later in the South. Winds will be from the North and North West. Temps of -1C to 8C

Christmas eve – A cold day with a few wintry showers.

Christmas Day – A milder day overcast with some rain and drizzle with winds gusting 30 to 40 mph.

Boxing Day – Spells of heavy rain possibly wintry at times. Winds gusting 30 to 40 mph at times reaching 50 mph for the Uist and Barra.
