Christmas forecast – wind and rain later

Good evening Western isles on this Thursday evening we are seeing mainly fine and dry conditions with a few scattered showers. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Temps are close to or below freezing for most with some frost and ice.

Overnight. – A cold start with a few scattered showers. It will become milder. Some early frost and ice. A few showers and some of these will be wintry at times. Winds of 10 to 30 mph gusting 40 mph.

Moring – Overcast with scattered showers heavy in places. Cloud dominating. Some sunny spells. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Afternoon – We are going to see a band of heavy rain moving across the Western Isles. The rain will be persistent at times. Winds of 20 to 40 mph at times gusting 50 mph.

Evening – The band of heavy rain slowly clears away. A mixture of clear skies and showers. Heavy at times. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Winds will be from the South West. Temps of 2C to 10C
